LNAV/VNAV

A line of minima on RNAV (GPS) approach charts for an approach with vertical guidance (APV) whose lateral and vertical integrity limits are larger than those of a precision approach or LPV. The vertical guidance comes from an approach-approved barometric VNAV system or from WAAS (Class 2, 3 and 4 TSO-C146 equipment), and the aircraft descends on an internally generated glidepath to a decision altitude (DA). Stepdown fix altitudes in the final approach segment do not apply when flying to the LNAV/VNAV DA. With an uncompensated baro-VNAV system the chart's temperature limits apply, because colder than standard temperatures make the barometric path shallower.
