Hello Folks

I know that a lot of you here on this forum are native English speakers.
However, some I am sure are visiting from other countries where perhaps English is a second or even a third language.

The International Civil Aviation Authority (ICAO) has mandated a new Aviation English examination for all airline pilots from 2008.

This is being used as a way to improve international aviation safety for pilots and passengers worldwide.
There are presently 6 levels of Aviation English proficiency that have been set out by ICAO.

Active airline pilots will need to reach "Level 4 - Operational"

I would ask that you please pass on the details of my website at http://www.planespeech.com to anyone you feel may need assistance in understanding the new regulations as some pilots, especially students, will find that reaching the ICAO standards is career critical.

At the moment my company is assisting in the gathering of research on behalf of the FAA and ICAO in France and Germany.
