JAA Training

Postby flyingdevil on Thu Nov 20, 2003 9:49 pm GMT

I have obtained information from Delta Connection Academy and have talked to them on a few occasions. In comparison to the rest of the schools in the US that are JAA Approved, I tend to lean towards DCA. They seem to be the most reputable, owned by a major airline, and have deep pockets. Unless their full of BS, their pass rates for the ATPL subjects and CPL test are very good. I also like the fact that they have many aircraft for training, over a 100 aircraft in all. I plan to visit and I will let you know what I find out

Accelerated Private Pilot in Colorado

I've heard of a flight school in Colroado that is not like any other in the USA. I think they are also JAA approved, but I'm not certain???

Anyway, it is really cool what they do. The don't just do the touch-an-go type training. You arrive there and they start all your training by flying to 4 or 5 different states all over the western usa.

Almost all your training is CROSS-COUNTRY!!! How cool is that! You also get mountain training to boot. I think it cost $5400 for 45-50 hours.

I'm not sure of all the detains, their website is at http://www.russellaviation.com

hope this helps...

Dear Sirs,

I’m a graduate because I’ve studied at “I. T. Aeronautico Francesco Baracca” Forlì, Italy.
I’ve PPL-JAA and I’d like all information about your school and particular about “JAA training program”.
I’d like to know if the program is a modulate or full time, I’d like schoose full time, ( must I begin again JAA-PPL?).
I’d like to know about:
1) All licences are JAA-UK or may to be turn over for Italy?
2) News about: a) JAA-IMC b) JAA-CPL/ IR/ MEP c) JAA Flight Instructor d) JAA-ATPL (frozen) e) JAA-MCC.
3) How much do cost the courses? When are beginning the courses?
4) Where do the courses do? Are there transfer? How much does cost it?
5) Where is possible accommodation? Is there a college or similar?
6) What are documents requested for stay here?

I’m waiting for your answer and yours faithfully.

Delta Connection Academy Employees to Unionize Now

Postby steward on Sat Oct 09, 2004 12:52 pm GMT

To all DCA employees, recent action by mangement have put us all on edge, we can no longer believe that our future here is secure. We must all join together for our protection. In the the past 5 yrs the cost of living has increased in central flordia 36%, even though the added cost has been past on to customers no pay increases have occurred for our instructors. Additionally company execs continually abuse our rights:
- Are you aware if you are called in to work for anything paperwork, meetings etc.. and your are not compensated that it violates state and federal labor laws
- Do you know other competitive flight schools have 50% higher wages which include benifits packages with paid vacations and medical. While furnishing newer safer equipment
- Want a set standard of working rules, tired of not understanding why 1 wrong gets a suspension for one individual and the same wrong might get you fired??
- Why has management begun to "let go" a handful of dedicated respected employees, and has in a place a management team made up of rejects from the airlines
- Why do we have an invisible president who looks like she'd serve better in slut magizine then in the front office

Its time to protect ourselves from this monkey show, organize now for our future and for our rights!

Frozen ATPL

Postby Guest on Wed Jan 18, 2006 2:03 pm GMT

Hi there,

I currently have done the ATPL theory in The Netherlands along with a Commercial practical exam, but do not possess a jaa instrument rating. Is this what people see as 'frozen' atpl?

Thank you for your responses
