Guidance solicited...

Postby ricky on Wed May 27, 2009 11:22 am GMT

Hi,

Can anyone please give me information about the better aviation schools outside of USA? :fly:
I'm a total novice in that area. How far can I trust the consultancies in India?
Any kind of information on the course and the universities is welcome.....SOS :?:

Hi Rick,
There are many flight schools around the world. Many of them are good, many are not. If you are looking for big, international flight schools outside the USA, try Europe, Canada or Australia. Places such as Oxford Aviation academy. However, flying in Europe is consideraly more expensive then flying in the States
As about listening to consultants, never trust any of them if they can gain anything from the choices you make, no matter how nice the package looks (this is true for India or anywhere else) . Networking is the only real way to learn about this business. You should try communicating with people that are already where you want to be, online or in person, and get as much information as you can.
Where specifically are you looking for (is there a reason not the US where it will be cheaper and probably faster?)

Hey Jet,

Thanks so much for the scoop....Nothin in particular why I'm not looking at US except de downturn and general public opinion against pursuing a career in that country in the current times...
Sir, can you suggest any good flying schools in Australia, US or Phillipines...And yes your hunch is right...I'm looking for somethin cheaper and faster as well...
Additionally, could you guide me who to approach to enhance my understanding of a flying career and how to go about it?
