E6-B or electronic flight computer?

Hi!
just wonder what do you think is more comfortable? is a mechanical flight computer as accurate as an electronic one? what would you guys recommend?

electronic ones save time but its also good to know how to use a mechanical one. especially if your going for your commercial or instructors rating. during your checkrides they might tell you to use mechanical because your batteries "died" and you need to make the flight. bring extra batteries for your electronic one also; its good planning. if your batteries really did die and you dont have extras... thats a problem.

Flight Computer

I would recommend using a Manual Flight Computer. I have my CFI, CFII and MEI and I had a student on a IFR checkride who was told his batteries were dead. He did not have a Manual Flight computer and I was told by the DE that i should make sure all my students had and knew how to use a manual flight computer. The student did pass the check-ride, but the examiner wasn't too happy.
