Fun Multi Engine time building

Postby Guest on Wed Apr 02, 2003 9:52 am GMT

I took a look at the Russell Aviation website after finding out about it here

The Russell Aviation Website is the best for CRM and Time Building..
AND you get to fly in the Rocky Mountains to boot.

Postby Multi Pilot on Tue Apr 22, 2003 11:19 pm GMT

I just looked at the new program at Russell Aviation and there new Non Profit company called Sky Ark.

You can get MULTI ENGINE time for $23.00 per hour. Without fuel, but still it is all PIC. No Saftey pilot time.

Here is the websites - not sure about the sky ark one.

Multi engine time building

I visted all the websites here. COuld not find much about Skysafety's webstite. But, wow what a cool thing at the http://www.skyark.org website. The russellaviation one is I think the owner of the Sky Ark website.

I found out that you get to fly not only your everyday dogs and cats around, but they also have been flying Hawks and other like birds of prey.

They do charge you about $23.00 per hour on a block rate of 50 or 100 hours plus fuel. Looks like the fuel burn is around 16-18 gph. Not to bad I guess. The twin I rent burns about 20-22 gph at sea level.

I did some math and it looks like the http://www.skyark.org folks are the best deal. You need to read ALL the information on their website. They really don't tell you all the best parts of this program up front. Pitty, it is the best deal out there and they don't really sell it.

SKy Ark in Flying magizine

Postby Airline pilot wantabe on Mon Aug 25, 2003 7:42 pm GMT

In the September 2003 issue of Flying Magizine there is an atricle about Sky Ark. http://www.skyark.org

You can write off the whole mission on your taxes and they are in the press alot. But, with what I make a year - the tax advantage is not an option for me.

Also, most of the lodging is donated to the mission pilot. Now that I would be interested in.

I'm a Commercial Pilot ASMEL, Instrument rating (current), CFI, CFII from North Dakota looking to build about 50 more mult engine hours. Anyone with a multi for rent/share/split gas cost/etc. PLEASE let me know. Thanks a lot!
