Be extra carefull! The big brother is watching

If you ever overshot an altitude, or didn't pay attention and slightly flown above an assigned airspeed and the controller forgave you, theses times are over. The FAA now disciplines controllers who don't report pilots who accidentally bust a regulation. No matter how little it compromised safety.

They (the FAA) don't get that this added stress to both pilots and controllers will accomplish the reverse result of what they are trying to achieve. Safety will be compromised by terrorizing controllers and pilots in this way.

Of course the regulation must be followed strictly, but we are all human and make mistakes here and there. if the FAA would penalize pilots and controllers for every tiny issue that did not compromise safety or traffic flow, people will only be thinking one thing: "how do i cover my behind." This is not a safe practice. There is no human (including the FAA administrators) who is perfect and who never makes mistakes and the FAA must realize it.
