CFI academy... yeah... the toughest rating you'll ever earn in 30 days, along with the CFII... they give it to you in this order: CFII, one week, CFI three weeks, FOI... the first section the FAA asks you about... maybe one day, two if you are lucky, MAYBE 6-8 hours total...
The only way you could really nail it is to read everything available for a few months in advance, fly right seat to build up ability (assuming you didn't do your Commercial from the right seat)...
It's possible to do it, but the class I went through... no way would I EVER recommend it, not a chance... do the hard work, man, read all the FAA materials, master the elements of the FOIs, take your time and know it cold, because you could be looking at a 6 hour oral (mine was 4.8 plus general chatter).
Know AC 61-65D COLD, all the endorsements, know where to find them in the FAR, really dig in... don't cram for this rating, and don't expect to get it all done in 30 days...
Think about this: Why did Flight Training magazine exclude AF from its accelerated training special? Hmmm... maybe because there are SOOOO many dissatisfied customers? How about the FAA investigation into the Chicago school passing people with the self-testing authority when they should not have?
You are a wallet to this school, nothing more. Remember that...
I left the school after finishing the ground portion disgusted with the lameness AND the fact that the FAA had rescinded the local DE's CFI testing authority, only granting 4 CFI checkrides a MONTH for the San Diego area... talk about a wallet drainer, with motels, flight currency...
Just say no.
